For groups we have a variety of meeting rooms to accommodate from 2 to 50 people.
Our spaces can be used for meetings of all kinds including training, guided retreats, presentations, management away days, art exhibitions and more. Our smaller rooms are perfect for counselling or spiritual direction.
Current users of the centre include public sector or charitable organisations involved in education and healthcare, businesses, church groups and other charities.
Rooms can be booked per session (morning, afternoon and/or evenings).
A recent art exhibition held in the Guest House attracted over 200 visitors over a weekend.

At St Benedict’s centre we have an ethos around stability and quiet prayerfulness. To learn more you can view our ethos leaflet here.
Here are links to a variety of our general conditions:
Do you offer accommodation?
The St Benedict’s Centre has no overnight accommodation. Malling Abbey, which is next door, has a small number of guest rooms. Their website is www.mallingabbey.org
Can I get lunch at the centre?
We do not provide meals. Coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the room rates. Please either bring a packed lunch or explore the nearby town centre for options. For groups, it is possible to arrange catering and we can put you in touch with local suppliers.
Can I park at the centre?
Yes we have a car park which is free to centre guests. Click here to learn more.
Can I get to the centre on the train?
Yes, our nearest station is West Malling and it is just a short walk away. Click here to learn more.
What are your opening hours?
The centre is generally open from 9am to 5pm when we have guests booked. If you need to start earlier or stay later, please contact us and we will arrange this if possible.
Is there anything you do not permit on site?
We expect guests to conduct themselves in a way that does not disturb others’ enjoyment of the Centre.
We do not permit events where alcohol will be the main focus – this is not the place for that kind of party.
The individual study rooms on the first floor of the guest house are to be kept quiet. They are not suitable for on-line meetings or phone calls. We do have other spaces which can be used by individuals for these purposes.
The centre and grounds are non-smoking.
Are refreshments included in the cost?
Coffee, tea and biscuits are included in the room rates. Â
Do you have audio visual equipment available for groups?
We have large screens in each of the meeting rooms to which you can connect a laptop. We also have flip charts and pens in each larger room. We have a Bluetooth speaker for sound enhancement from a phone, tablet or laptop which has Bluetooth capability.
Situated within the grounds of Malling Abbey, St Benedict’s Centre welcomes individuals and groups seeking a place to rest, retreat, study, create, meet and/or work.
